Malcolm X

Malcolm X a and African American that was part of the black movement during the 50's and 60's. Malcolm X was a man who used violence to enforce his rule as a black. He was also a spokesmen for the black panthers and was a very big part in the impact the African Americans had during this era. He was also part of the muslim community and supported there belief and there ways of looking a life and there ways of living life. He would try to pay the police off so they could do what they want to get there point across. This ways a risky way of going at getting your point across to the people of America.
When Malcolm's father was killed, his family and friends believed that he had been attacked by the Black Legionnaires and his body laid across the streetcar tracks to be run over, but it was officially considered to be an accidental death. Earlier that day, Louise Little had had a vision of her husband's death, which she later described to Malcolm. Malcolm believes that this capacity for premonition and vision was passed on to her children, and occasional incidents of extra-sensory knowledge figure in his later life.
Malcolm's assassins, Talmadge Hayer, Norman Butler, and Thomas Johnson, were convicted of first-degree murder in March 1966. The three men were all members of the Nation of Islam. Malcolm X’s legacy has moved through generations as the subject of numerous documentaries, books, and movies. A tremendous resurgence of interest occurred in 1992 when director Spike Lee released the acclaimed movie, Malcolm X. Many movies were made after the death of Malcolm X about his life growing up and how he impacted the African American and white culture during this era and to the next generation.

Rap and Hip Hop culture

These thre men, Busy Bee Starski, DJ Hollywood, and DJ Afrika Bambaataa are the three New York artists who have been credited for coming up with the term “hip hop”. This rap and hip hop culture began with funky beats made by people that was played at house parties and parties in people basements and the streets of New York City. Rap music was a way African Americans could express themselves in rythm. As the rap game expanded so did the meaning of rap. The meaning of rap was to express the life on the streets, drug use and many other things like voilence and gang related things. Rap became more known when movie and the media were talking about it. One movie that was released that made a big impact was rappers delight, which led to new artist like Run DMC and the Fat boys to get into the rap and hip hop culture. Also a new big thing came out of the rap and hip hop culture was the new lauguage that everyone on the streets started to speak to there fellow people. The a lot of new worlds that were created from the culture like dope, da bomb and many other words used by people. Also a new style of clothing was invented when this rap and hip hop genera came around to people living in America. People started to wear baggy clothes and hats backwards. Many more movies came out when people started to realize how big of an impact that rap and hip hop has had in our culture today and the culture when it first started years ago. People all over the world listen to this music almost everyday because people like the style of music and the beats and rhymes within the songs. Many new artist that have created new music are known by many of the people in different ways, like teens look at them as people who make good music and most parents don't like what these people are doing because it is giving their kids bad information about out society and introducing them to violence and bad languages and new styles that go against their morals. But this generation gap will be within every new genera of music no matter who likes it and the people who don't like the music. This rap and hip hop culture will always exist no matter if people try to stop it and shut it down it will always be around.

The D-Day invasion took place on June 6 1944 on the territory of Germany. This battle was one of the bloodiest battles during World War II. This battle opened the second front to germans war against the French. This battle was also know as Normandy Invasion. This invasion was led by U.S army General Dwight D. Eisenhower, assault phase with the code-name Neptune. This attack took a long time to think out and get this plan to work to be able to push out Adolf Hitler and the German army. This battle took many supplies and men to be able to fight against the German on their own land. Before we entered in this battle we sent in three paratroopers and see what the Germans were up to and see were there weakest point was to attack. This attack was called operation overlord and was a very thought out plan to attack Germany and took less then a year to plan to push Germany out of the war. This operation was largest air, land and sea operation, the had 5,000 ships and 10,000 airplanes and over 150,000 soldiers fighting for their countries. After this war was over the allied forces had over 10,000 casualties and around 4,000 soldiers dead. During this attack the allied forces keep sending men in all around france to keep Germany from moving anywhere but their own land and pushed them all the way back to Germany and stop them from expanding there land and gain more materials and supplies to be able to become stronger and able to fight longer in World War II.  The first phase started on June 6 and the second phase was launched on July 24 and the battle came to a complete end on September 1, and the Allied force won this battle and defeated Hitler and his German army.

Four causes of WWI

Militarism- everyone during World War I were trying to form the best army in the war both on the ground and in the water. Great Britain and the best navy and Germany was trying to form a better one to over power them.

Imperialism- countries were taking over other countries to gain land and resources to improve their military. This caused war because countries were fighting over land.

Alliance- countries join each other to protect in a fight if need and to gain more power and to win the war. there were two alliance the triple alliance and the triple entente.

Nationalism-  extreme love for their country and will to fight for there country. This caused war because people were killing people for their country to show their love for their country

Spark of the war- the spark to World War I was the assassination Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand.

1. Unrestricted sub warfare- 1917, sinking a ship without warning
2. Lusitania- 1915, Ship will men and supplies sunk by unrestricted sub warfare
3. Sussex pledge- 1917,no longer sinking ships will supplies without any warning.

Triple Alliance and The Central powers

Triple alliance and the Central powers:

The triple alliance all started when Germany, austria-hungry and Italy all decided to put away their conflicts with each other and to join as one power to can power over the triple Entente. theses three countries came together and signed a document that say that they will give support and military equipment in case of war. The triple Entente were in a war against the triple alliance. the triple alliance members wanted to gain more control over land. Italy wanted more land in Greece, Austria-Hungry wanted the Balkans land and Germany just wanted to expanded and gain more power through out the war. Later during the war Italy didn't full trust austria-hungry and made a secret alliance with France. After the two sides made a treaty allowing each other to take other neutral territory with out conflict from the other alliances. The other alliance was between Great Britain, France and Russia but later Italy and toward  the end of the war the United States joined, this alliance was called the Triple Entente. The triple alliance was between the triple entente and shared a boarder. Russia and Germany shared and France and Austria-Hungry shared a boarder. This was a very bad spot for them to be and Great Britain was not to far away either. Great Britain had a very strong navy and Germany had a board to the ocean.
