What is the goal of containment?
Was to keep Russian from expanding and not go to the war
How is GREECE the first battlefront in the cold war?
Greece was attacked by guerrilla warfare and could hold themselves needing help from allied countries so Britain helped but could stay with it so American had to ask for 400 million dollars to fight the communist aggression in Greece.
What is the Marshall plan?
Gave European countries American aid for their economy.
What is the Berlin Airlisft?
This was plan to fly in supplies into the zone in Berlin to keep people alive.
What is NATO?
The alliance with Western Europe to have each other back.
What happened in China?
A civil war broke out two side fighting for power over china.
Make a 5 step timeline in Korean War.
1. Divided Korea at the 38th parallel of latitude
2. Truman saw the communist invasion and attacked.

What was the goal for Roosevelt after the war?  What were Soviet goals about Germany?
Roosevelts goals was to make peace in the world and the soviets goal was to secure there boarders and stop America from transporting supplies into the zone.
What did FDR think was 'key' to world peace?
The keys to have world peace was to have victory over the axis and the creation of the United Nations.
What was 'declaration of liberated europe, and how successful was it?'
This was to allow the people of Poland to choose which government they wanted to be a part of. This was not a successful plan which resulted into the Cold War

How was Germany to be controlled?
They agreed to divide Germany into four zones. 

What was Truman's view about how to deal with USSR?
Truman's idea to deal with the soviets was stand up to the Russians and not make the same mistake the Britain did with trying to appease hitler.

What is a satellite nation?
The communist countries in east Europe were called satellite nations.
What is an 'iron curtain'
The iron curtain was to separate the communist nation of east Europe from the west

A fierce green fire

This movie talks about how people are trying to save the environment and stop pollution around the world. These people are getting birth defects and other chemicals that harm the human body. This is why people are trying to stop the world from pollution because it is make our life shorter on plant earth.

In this article it talks about the polution in their home town and the 14,000 people had troubles breathing and make life for them a lot harder. This was during the fact now
