Rap and Hip Hop culture
These thre men, Busy Bee Starski, DJ Hollywood, and DJ Afrika Bambaataa are the three New York artists who have been credited for coming up with the term “hip hop”. This rap and hip hop culture began with funky beats made by people that was played at house parties and parties in people basements and the streets of New York City. Rap music was a way African Americans could express themselves in rythm. As the rap game expanded so did the meaning of rap. The meaning of rap was to express the life on the streets, drug use and many other things like voilence and gang related things. Rap became more known when movie and the media were talking about it. One movie that was released that made a big impact was rappers delight, which led to new artist like Run DMC and the Fat boys to get into the rap and hip hop culture. Also a new big thing came out of the rap and hip hop culture was the new lauguage that everyone on the streets started to speak to there fellow people. The a lot of new worlds that were created from the culture like dope, da bomb and many other words used by people. Also a new style of clothing was invented when this rap and hip hop genera came around to people living in America. People started to wear baggy clothes and hats backwards. Many more movies came out when people started to realize how big of an impact that rap and hip hop has had in our culture today and the culture when it first started years ago. People all over the world listen to this music almost everyday because people like the style of music and the beats and rhymes within the songs. Many new artist that have created new music are known by many of the people in different ways, like teens look at them as people who make good music and most parents don't like what these people are doing because it is giving their kids bad information about out society and introducing them to violence and bad languages and new styles that go against their morals. But this generation gap will be within every new genera of music no matter who likes it and the people who don't like the music. This rap and hip hop culture will always exist no matter if people try to stop it and shut it down it will always be around.
